ABOUT BERGGI

Berggi was formed by seasoned and successful mobile and Internet industry executives to provide a solution for better and more cost effective mobile phone based email, instant messaging and text messaging. You will be happy to discover we have it!

Solution – summer 2003, Miami Beach, Florida, USA

The concept of an overall remedy occurred to us in several revelations. During the course of summer 2003, we developed the idea and the design of an innovative mobile concept that removes all the pain described above. The result is Berggi - a reliable and unique mobile messaging service which is radically simpler, less expensive, and far more useful than other options available to you today.

First investors – summer 2004, Silicon Valley, Madrid, Milan

In 2004 many of our family members, our friends, our former business associates, and other angels financially invested in our vision, enabling us to produce our initial prototype version. Our first staff members shared our goals and invested in our vision with their careers to form the core of our valuable team whose commitment and hard work has made Berggi a reality and a success.

First users – summer 2005, USA and Spain

By the summer of 2005 we had completed 80% of our underlying technology and 50% of the mobile software itself. Several million lines of computer programming code had been written, creating one of the most powerful mobile software programs ever developed. In early-fall 2005 we launched our prototype in the US and Spain. We are grateful to the many people who downloaded this early version of Berggi and provided us with valuable feedback. The common thread among that feedback was: “It is a great product, but can you make it simpler to use?” We listened to their wishes and we succeeded.

Venture capital investment - spring 2006

By November of 2005 Berggi had began to attract the eye of seasoned venture capital firms who had built their savvy almost exclusively in the global arena of cell-phone based consumer and information mobility. In April 2006 Berggi completed its “seed-stage” venture investment, allowing us to access finances to take Berggi to the launch stage.

Our team grows – summer 2006

The Berggi team grew in the US and in Spain. We looked for experienced and passionate people and we found them. Within a few months Berggi became an increasingly desirable employer to work for. We offered: a big dream, an abundant challenge, a smart core team to work with, and a singular focus on serving customers.

Open for business –Thanksgiving Day 2006

Though we had many thousands of registered members already, we officially opened for business Fall 2006. But do not expect to see us launch advertising or marketing campaigns. We prefer to rely on the momentum of word of mouth and satisfied customers. The fact that you are reading about us today, is the result of precisely this approach. Someone you know or some source you trust has informed you about us. This is how we intend to attract most of our patrons. We grow by succeeding at what we do.
